Demi Lovato

Look at how much she's changed!
Yesterday,  at church, because of the cold the day before, and I could hardly talk. Dad and I were talking about it after the service.
"If your condtion worsens, you could get laryngitis ."
"Yeah," I said softly. "But you can't talk at all when you get that."
"I know," he replied with a michevious gleam in his eye.
If you have been to my house, you know that my dad is not normal, not even close!

We went to my cousin's birthday party and I watched the beginning of The Avengers! I totally understand why everyone loves the movie!
Here's another Taylor Swift song. It's really pretty, but has a sad feeling to it.

LOVE this song!
Please pray for my grandpa. He had a stroke and can't swallow. Something like this happened three years ago. Please pray for my grandma too. She's having a hard time.

Living or Dying?

As you already know, I went to the Britt Nicole concert at Mt. Vernon IL. I've already said that I LOVED it! And yes, that's true, but I must say, in truth, The concert overall should probably be rated 3 and a half stars.
Let me tell you why.

Well, Britt Nicole totally ROCKED the house! But the other bands....

Alright, the first band was Royal Tailor. They're pretty cool. I liked their song 'Control.'
But the next band.... I must say that I didn't really care for them.

The craziest thing was how different their messages were. Royal Tailor's song 'Control' says, "A teenage dream is not worth your life."
Then, the next band, Group 1 Crew's last song says, "I would trade every day of the week for the night of my life!"
See what I mean?
That wasn't all. Royal Tailor's song, 'The Death of Me' says, "You're making me new.... this is the death of me."

Yet, Group 1 Crew's song is called 'Live it Up'. It's just about going anywhere and living for the moment.

Group 1 Crew's message is: 'Live it Up!'
And Royal Tailor's message was to 'Die it Up!'

The meanings are simple. We're supposed to die to ourselves when we become Christians. Instead of wanting to sin, we push it away. In Luke, it says, "You must deny yourself and follow me."
Living it up is about living for the moment and having fun all the time. Life is full of problems. Nothing last forever. So let's just go anywhere and do anything we want. After all, it's our life.

These are two very different messages. Which one is the best?
The Bible makes it very clear. "For what profits a man, if he gains the whole world and loses his own soul?"
So what do you want to do? Live it up or die it up?

Addison Road's lead singer's first single. It's really cool. Because we are leaning on Jesus and trusting in him, we don't need to be afraid to die. Heaven is waiting for us.

RUDO!!!!!!!!!

Summer Memories

BRITT NICOLE!!

Stay. Stay, Stay

Taylor Swift came out with her album! I'm listening to 'Holy Ground' right now!
Here's the best one so far:

BRITT NICOLE!!!!!

Britt Nicole was AWESOME! Ellie, our friends. and I got right in the front! She was so close to us! I think she actually looked at me! She was so pretty. Her dancers rocked! We ended up going backstage and meeting her dancers! They were really nice! Our friends won a 'meet n greet', so they got to meet Britt Nicole! They got a picture with her and everything! It was AWESOME!

I have to admit, the other two bands before her could've done better, but it was all worth it when Britt Nicole showed up! As you could imagine, it was very loud, but totally worth it. She preformed one of my favorites songs from the album, 'Stand' and of course, 'All This Time'. Her dancers were very cool. In 'Breakthough', one of their dancer just came out of nowhere and did a bunch of flips! We met him! The other one, a really nice girl, did ballet during 'Still that Girl.'

God really gave her a gift! If you ever read this, I just want to say: Thank you for giving me the best night of my life!

This is something we all need to do.

The Singing 'Angel-bear'

Just now, my cute, sweet, and loving BDFF (best dog friend forever), Rudo got into my room AGAIN! Okay, unless Rudo is cutely lying on my bed, I'm not interested in having him in my room.  One of the reasons is that he eats, chews and destroys, anything he can fit into his mouth. So...

Oh, I have to take Rudo out. I'll be right back...

Okay, I'm back. Well, he loved to chew stuffed animals and sure enough, that's what he was after. I have a stuff bear dressed up as an angel. (No, I don't sleep with it) It's one of those stuff animals that talks whenever you press a certain part of it.

Rudo, being his weird self, grabbed the angel-bear and jumped on my bed. He started doing what a normal dog does when I guess he pressed that certain part.

It's supposed to be praying, so it said, in this little kiddie voice that sounded totally fake, "Now I lay me down to sleep. I pray to Lord my soul to keep...." And blah, blah, blah. Well, you know the prayer.

Rudo freaked out!  Startled and confused, he stared at the angel-bear for awhile. Then timidly, he jumped off my bed and ran out of the room.

It was so funny! Well, I think he learned his lesson this time. Well, now you know: my dog is afraid of talking stuff animals.
Carrie Underwood's best music video!

Never Grow Up

Taylor Swift wrote this song when she moved into an apartment by herself. She said the night she moved in, she started working on it, and by morning she was finished.

This song reminds me of my dad. When I turned 13, he said, "Oh! I thought you said you were going to be 12 forever!" He says this on each one of my birthdays.

Recently, I went with my mom and my grandparents to our cousin's going away party. She was going to the Army. As we left, we saw some little kids playing in the lobby. My grandfather hugged one of them. This year, their youngest grandchild went to pre-school.

"Those kids remind you of when we used to be little, right?" I asked him as we were walking to our car.

"Yeah," he smiled. "I remember when you used to have this little toy piano. When we would play it, you used to laugh so hard."

As we walked, I started to think of those days when I was little. I used to laugh at everything,. I used to love to watch those little kiddie shows that I can't stand now. I was just so... unaware of the sadness in the world. I was so innocent. Then I thought of this song.

My dad and I were talking about some 'growup' things. He said something like, "It was just so easy  when you were little. You never found  fault with me or your mom. We were your heroes."

When I was about 7, we were at a hotel. Dad, my sister and brother and I went to the pool. Dad told me not to go in it, but I was too excited.

I jumped in while he was helping my siblings with their stuff. I thought I could stand up, but it was too deep and I started drowning. Dad wasted no time. He jumped in and saved me. I will always remember that. Dad will always be my hero no matter how old I am.
I will always love my parents like I've never loved anyone before.

God's Not Dead

Bounce!

SO FUNNY!! But not exactly a song you'd see being performed at the Grammys!

GOOD TIME!

This such a great song!

Make a Move

This is such a good song! At my birthday party, my buds and we made a music video. It was so much fun! We all looked very weird, to be honest. But I love my friends to death and I'm probably weirder than they are!

UPDATE!

Right now, the Cardinals are playing. If they win this game, they go to the National League Chamionship, and if they win that, they will go to the WORLD SERIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! For the second time! That's a not-so big 'if'!

GO CARDINALS!!!!

Forgive...and Forgive

My dad has been building a storm shelter in our back yard. He had to dig a HUGE hole and he is now laying down the concrete blocks. He  wrote his plans on a piece of line paper.  A couple of weeks ago, while working on his project in the hole, he asked me to take that very same piece of paper into the house.

That evening, he asked me where I had put the piece of paper. I couldn't remember and we ended up turning the whole house upside down trying to find it. Finally, Mom found it.

In the trash can.

Stupidly, me, being obsessed and distracted with the computer, carelessly and accidentally threw it in the trash.

Dad got mad at me at first, but he forgave me and said he was going to forget about it.

A few days later, I put my finished homework in the book we usually put our finished homework in. That night, Dad wanted to grade, but somehow it wasn't there.

I told him I was sure I put it in there, but he really didn't believe since there was no evidence. I was really upset and tired. Losing my homework wasn't what I needed right now.

Surely enough, someone looked in the trash can and there it was. Mom had threw it away, thinking it was scrap paper!

My first thought was, How could Mom do this to me? I'm never going to forgive her!

But then I remembered that I had done the same thing a few days ago. When Mom came in my room to say she was sorry, I forgave her.

It's a lot like a story Jesus told about the unforgiving servant. The point is that we have to forgive others if we want God to forgive us.

God is so great to forgive me time and time again.

The Blessings in Life

Life is a labyrinth full of lies, pain, and evil. When a crisis happens, death strikes, or something terrible happens, my main question is, why? I didn’t do anything wrong. Why did this happen to me? Why couldn’t it have happened to my lazy neighbor who hasn’t moved his lawn in years?? I don’t deserve this! Well, for once in my life, I’m right. I don’t deserve what’s happening to me. What I deserve is something much worse, but in our pain, we often question God the most. After all, how are we supposed to trust Him when he just does something like this? If I think about it, maybe He’s just trying to get me closer to Him. Maybe He’s trying to get us to trust Him. In Laura Story’s beautiful song, Blessings, it talks about how we pray for blessings, and when we don’t get them, our stubborn heart hardens towards God. Maybe the crisis that’s happening right now is a blessing. Through my trials, I always end up getting closer to God. I have to remember that I’m never alone. God’s always with me. He’s always standing up even when everything around me is upside down. Life is still a labyrinth, but God will lead us through it, but we can also say that the trials in life are blessings.

(I got the idea for this post from a post on Isabelle R.'s blog, singing4life. I just added my own stuff to it.)

RED!!!!!!!!!

Here's the title track from Taylor Swift's new album which is coming out Oct. 22nd.
