Stuff Going On....

Hello friends and fellow book lovers!

Alright, so school hasn't gotten much easier. I have this hard science test that I didn't know was so hard until yesterday. Now that I know I'm doing my best trying to study for it. Since I don't plan on going anywhere tomorrow, I do plan to post something better than this. But why dwell on sad things?

Well my birthday's coming up. *squeal* It's less than a month actually. Oh how time flies! I'm going to be 15. Now I can finally go to the sating rink and ask them to play "Fifteen" by Taylor Swift. (A beautiful song by the way) It took me awhile to understand that song but now I do... let's just say I love it! And since it's my birthday, I can ask for the new Percy Jackson book!!:)

Has anyone seen the new Mocking Jay trailer poster? Well, save you the trouble. Here it is. Isn't it MINDBLOWING??? Okay, so I'm not allowed to watch the movies, but with some convincing, I might be able to convince my parents. Fingers crossed. And Katniss's pictures in the movies are always awesome.

So have you heard about 1989? I'm getting more and more excited about it. So many reasons to be excited for October. Taylor Swift has revealed titles tracks for quite a few songs for her new album, including one called "Style." I'm sorry. I have to laugh. I have to admit.... I'm a little nervous. Her Rolling Stone interview was a bad. But every one of these songs sound great. I guess I'll just have to see. I don't think Taylor's going down Miley's road or anything. Look at this quote:

"[Being nice has] always been important to me, that's always been a priority. Every artist has their set of priorities. Being looked at as sexy? Not really on my radar. But nice? I really hope that that is the impression. … I don't care if that's not cool, to seem nice or not. I'm not that focused on being cool and I never have been."

Isn't that awesome? Don't find many people like that in the secular industry. Without the bridge, "Shake it Off" would be perfect. "It's like I got this music in mind saying it's going to be alright." I love that line. It might be my favorite Taylor Swift line.

I have all-year-long science project that requires me to find fifty different kinds of birds. So far, I have four and this is by far, my favorite. The ruby throated hummingbird. Isn't it adorable? I've never been much of a bird person, but this project has opened my heart up to the beauty of God's creation: birds.

Thank you for reading? What are doing in school? What are some new things that you've learned that interests you?

Besides being a very sweet song, this song reminds me of a few of my novels. So I love it:)
Well, I got nothing now. God bless!
Reading: Wuthering Heights
Just finished: Pride and Prejudice, Outcasts by Jill Williamson
Want to read: Taking Chances by Deanna Francis. (She's a teen author I'm going to meet Monday.)

  1. Oh drat those science tests. I always hated those. Right now I've just got one class in school, but it takes like three hours a day, so it's mind draining. The poster looks so cool! Can't wait to see the movie. If you need arguments for getting to watch it, tell me. I've convinced several parents that the movies are more than appropriate for their kids. One girl I give guitar lessons to loves Taylor Swift, so I've had to learn some of her music, and I wouldn't say I'm a full blown Swiftie, but I do like her stuff for the most part.

    1. Oh, yeah! I hate it when you have to spend hours on a subject. It's SO tiring! Some of Taylor Swift's music isn't the best, but most of it is great. I think all i need is a longer talk to convince them to get me to watch it. We haven't talked about it much. Thanks for readit and commenting!:)

  2. I love Taylor Swift's new song as well :) I agree with you...the song would be perfect without the bridge :)
It really does have a good message for a secular song! And that's so exciting your birthday is coming up...and I am so excited to turn 15 as well so I can actually be the same age as Taylor Swift's song :)
    Have a wonderful weekend!
